We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Income Tax Preparer to join our agile financial services team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns for a diverse client base, ensuring all filings meet federal, state, and local regulations. Responsibilities
Gather and analyze client financial information, including income statements, expense reports, and supporting documentation
Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Review clients’ financial data for accuracy and completeness; perform account reconciliation to ensure data integrity
Conduct thorough analysis of tax documents to identify deductions, credits, and potential audit risks
Assist clients with questions related to their tax filings and provide guidance on tax planning strategies




Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize client benefits
Support auditing processes by reviewing financial records and verifying the accuracy of reported figures

Requirements
Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms
Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
Knowledge of auditing procedures and experience in financial services is highly desirable
Familiarity with accounts payable, account reconciliation, payroll processing, and budgeting practices
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills for managing multiple client files simultaneously
Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and professionally
Certification or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $16.35-$22.00 per hour
