Job Description

We are looking for a reliable full-time Central Kitchen Production Cook to handle our daily food and pastry production.

This is a hands-on production position. You will be responsible for completing the daily prep list, baking pastries, preparing ingredients and making sure production is ready for our stores every day.

Main Responsibilities
Complete the daily food prep list
Prepare ingredients, sauces, fillings, vegetables and other mise en place
Prepare and portion products according to recipes
Bake pastries and baked products daily
Prepare pastry products for the next production cycle
Follow production quantities and daily store requirements
Portion, package, label and date finished products
Organize products for store deliveries
Check inventory before production
Rotate products using FIFO
Control leftovers and reduce food waste
Maintain fridges, freezers, shelves and production areas organized
Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment and tools
Follow food-safety and hygiene procedures
Complete opening/closing production tasks
Help with receiving and storing deliveries when required
Make sure the kitchen is fully prepared for the following day

Requirements





This position is FULL-TIME only.

Candidates must:
Be available for a secure full-time schedule
Be available approximately 30–40 hours per week
Have reliable and consistent availability
Be comfortable working early/morning production shifts when required
Have previous experience in a commercial kitchen, bakery, pastry production or food production workplace
Be comfortable doing both cooking/prep and pastry/baking work
Be able to follow recipes and production quantities accurately
Work independently without constant supervision
Work quickly while maintaining quality and cleanliness
Be organized and able to complete a daily production list on time
Be physically able to stand for long periods and handle normal kitchen lifting

This position is not suitable for candidates looking for occasional, temporary, evening-only or part-time hours around another schedule.

We are looking for someone who is:

Reliable Quick Organized Clean Productive Consistent Comfortable with repetitive daily production

Pay: $16.60-$17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
