Job Overview:
We are seeking an Part Time ECEA (Early Childhood Educator Assistant) to join our team.
Duties:
Implementing developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum for children
Providing a secure and nurturing environment for children
Assisting with mealtime routines for children
Monitoring and supervising children during playtime and outdoor activities
Collaborating with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning environment
Skills:
Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
Educate: Ability to effectively teach and engage children in age-appropriate activities
Caregiving: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and support to young children
Classroom management: Robust skills in managing a classroom setting and promoting positive behavior
Experience with children:
Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an educational setting
Certificate: Must have your Early Childhood Education Assistant Certificate or Early Childhood Educator certificate, as well as your Childcare First aid/ CPR.
*Wage is determined by education and experience, ECE would qualify for the wage enhancement and discuss a separate wage
*This position may lead to more full time in the future, currently only offering Part Time.

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Courtenay, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Licence/Certification:
Early Childhood Education Assistance Certificate (required)
