Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for a direct hire opportunity in Richmond Hill, ON within the industrial facilities and infrastructure construction sector. This role is ideal for a construction professional with strong project management experience, technical knowledge of electrical, communications cabling, and mechanical systems, and a proven ability to build long-term relationships with developers, general contractors, owners, and industry partners.

The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving growth, identifying profitable market opportunities, and helping shift projects from a traditional tender approach to a more collaborative design assist model. This is a high-visibility role with direct interaction with senior leadership, internal pursuit and operations teams, and external decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies to secure new construction projects and expand market opportunities.
Build, maintain, and grow relationships with developers, general contractors, owners, and key industry stakeholders.
Identify prospects to transition projects from tender-based work to design assist partnerships.
Collaborate with pursuit, estimating, and operations teams to support proposals, RFPs, RFQs, project submissions, and client presentations.
Lead contract negotiations, communicate project expectations, and support smooth handoffs from signed contract to project execution.
Maintain sales pipeline reporting, financial updates, market research, and project opportunity tracking.

Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $100,000 to $150,000 per year.
