We are seeking an experienced Business Lawyer with 5+ years of experience, ideally 10+ years, focused on corporate and commercial law. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in advising businesses on complex transactions, a demonstrated ability to develop client relationships, and an entrepreneurial approach to building a successful legal practice.

Responsibilities
Advise clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial legal matters.
Draft, review, and negotiate corporate, commercial, and transactional documents.
Lead and manage corporate and commercial transactions from initial structuring through completion.
Support clients ranging from startups to multinational organizations.
Develop and expand a corporate and commercial client base.
Provide practical, business-focused legal advice aligned with client objectives.
Collaborate with other lawyers and professionals on complex matters.
Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to knowledge development within the practice.




Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen long-term client relationships.

Qualifications
LL.B. or J.D. from a Canadian common law faculty or equivalent qualification.
Active membership with the Law Society of Alberta or eligibility for membership.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a business lawyer, preferably 10+ years.
Solid corporate and commercial law experience.
Experience in areas such as mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, financial services, commercial transactions, commercial real estate, tax, or related practices.
Demonstrated ability to manage and grow an established client base.
Solid business acumen and entrepreneurial mindset.
Excellent client service, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Practical, results-oriented approach to achieving client objectives.
Ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to a client-focused practice.
