Responsibilities
Measure and prepare work areas according to project specifications using tape measures, chalk lines, and other hand tools
Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
Install hardwood flooring by cutting, fitting, and securing planks with appropriate tools and techniques
Use hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and drills to complete installations efficiently
Perform surface preparation tasks including subfloor leveling, sanding, and cleaning before installation
Collaborate with team members and clients to meet project timelines and quality standards

Skills




Proficiency with hand tools used in flooring installation and carpentry
Construction experience with a focus on flooring or related trades
Strong knowledge of flooring installation techniques including tile laying and subfloor preparation
Handyman experience that demonstrates versatility across various repair and installation tasks
Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients
