Job Description

The Senior Manager, Channel Measurement & Reporting is a senior individual contributor responsible for leading the development of channel performance reporting, measurement strategies, and customer journey frameworks across the business.

This role will partner closely with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Product, Finance, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Analytics to translate business objectives into meaningful measurement strategies and actionable insights.

The successful candidate will bring a strong combination of strategic thinking, advanced analytics, executive-level storytelling, and stakeholder management. They will be expected to go beyond reporting what happened by developing hypotheses, identifying trends and opportunities, explaining the drivers behind performance, and recommending actions to improve channel and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Channel Performance & Measurement Strategy

- Own and evolve measurement frameworks for key customer channels, campaigns, and journeys.
- Establish consistent KPIs and measurement methodologies to evaluate channel performance and business outcomes.
- Develop hypotheses based on observed performance and use data to investigate underlying drivers, opportunities, and risks.
- Evaluate performance across digital and marketing channels, including web, mobile, email, paid media, and other customer touchpoints.
- Connect channel-level metrics to broader customer, financial, and business outcomes.
- Provide strategic recommendations to leaders based on performance trends and analytical findings.

Executive Reporting & Power BI

- Lead the development, enhancement, and ongoing evolution of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions focused on channel and journey performance.
- Determine the appropriate KPIs, reporting structures, and visualizations required to answer key business questions.
- Ensure executive dashboards clearly communicate performance, trends, exceptions, and areas requiring action.
- Drive greater automation and standardization of reporting to reduce manual processes and improve consistency.
- Ensure reporting logic, definitions, and methodologies are clearly documented and traceable.
- Continuously improve the usability and effectiveness of reporting solutions based on stakeholder needs.

Strategic Insights & Storytelling

- Interpret complex datasets and translate findings into clear business narratives for senior and non-technical stakeholders.
- Move beyond descriptive reporting to explain what is happening, why it is happening, and what the business should consider doing next.
- Identify trends, anomalies,

risks, customer behaviours, and optimization opportunities across channel and journey performance.
- Develop data-backed hypotheses and conduct analysis to validate or challenge assumptions.
- Present recommendations and insights in a concise, executive-ready manner.
- Articulate the business value of measurement initiatives and connect analytical findings to strategic priorities.

Stakeholder Management & Consulting

- Act as a trusted analytical partner and subject matter expert to senior stakeholders across the organization.
- Work directly with business leaders to understand strategic objectives, challenge assumptions, and translate business questions into measurement and analytical approaches.
- Influence stakeholders on appropriate KPIs, measurement methodologies, reporting strategies, and performance interpretation.
- Facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to establish alignment on business definitions, measurement frameworks, and reporting priorities.
- Provide specialized analytical and strategic consulting rather than simply responding to reporting requests.
- Effectively communicate analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Balance multiple stakeholder priorities while independently determining the appropriate analytical approach.

Data, Governance & Analytical Delivery

- Partner with data engineering and technology teams to validate data sources, pipelines, and reporting logic.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability of KPIs across reporting outputs.
- Maintain appropriate documentation of data sources, reporting logic, measurement methodologies, and data lineage.
- Operate within established risk, privacy, consent, data governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Support scalable and repeatable analytical solutions using tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, and Excel.
- Exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve complex or non-routine analytical and measurement challenges.

Skills and Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in analytics, performance measurement, business intelligence,

marketing analytics, or a related area, ideally within financial services or another complex enterprise environment.
- Demonstrated experience working directly with senior business stakeholders and translating business objectives into measurement strategies and analytical solutions.
- Strong experience developing channel performance and/or customer journey measurement frameworks.
- Advanced experience developing executive reporting and dashboards using Power BI.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to form hypotheses, investigate performance drivers, identify patterns, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Robust proficiency with SQL, SAS, Python, and Excel for data analysis and manipulation.

- Strong understanding of KPIs, measurement methodologies, campaign/channel performance, and reporting best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex analytics in clear business language.
- Strong executive presentation and data storytelling capabilities.
- Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Previous experience within banking, insurance, wealth management, or another regulated environment.
- Experience measuring digital customer journeys and multi-channel customer interactions.
- Knowledge of campaign measurement techniques such as attribution, incrementality, experimentation, and ROI analysis.
- Familiarity with customer data platforms and marketing technology ecosystems.
- Understanding of privacy, consent, data governance, and regulatory requirements such as PIPEDA.
- Experience establishing standardized enterprise or business-wide KPI frameworks.
