The Resident Caretaker’s primary responsibilities focus on the general cleanliness, repair, maintenance and security of the buildings and grounds at Tamarisk. Accordingly, this role works with a high volume of physical tasks as reflected in the major accountabilities.

The Resident Caretaker works closely with the designated Avesta Strata Property Agent, Strata Council Members, onsite contractors and other parties. This role is involved in hands-on repairs and maintenance, management of capital improvement projects, and includes monitoring and reporting on progress.

The Resident Caretaker must maintain a highly active relationship with both residents (owner, tenant, occupant and/or landlord) and visitors by either informing or enforcing bylaws without putting him/herself at personal risk. In situations where bylaw infractions are witnessed,



the Resident Caretaker is responsible for collecting relevant facts and providing recommendations on bylaw infractions to the designated Strata Agent and/or Strata Council members. Daily tours of the property are necessary to stay well-informed of community life at Tamarisk.

The Resident Caretaker is responsible for providing straightforward, and knowledgeable service through daily interactions to create a relationship of mutual trust and respect with residents and owners. This role involves living onsite in housing provided by Strata Corporation VR 191 at a reduced rate (taxable benefit).

The Resident Caretaker must be available after hours for on site emergencies on scheduled work days.

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
