Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items such as soups, sauces, vegetables, meats, and desserts during the night shift.

Maintain a clean and organized cooking area, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met.

Work efficiently under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously during peak hours.

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food preparation.

Follow standardized recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure consistency in food quality.

Work full-time with evening shifts,



typically starting around 5 PM and ending around 2 AM, including weekends and holidays.

Be flexible to work additional shifts during peak times or special events.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role within the restaurant industry.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.

Strong knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.

Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, and food processors.

Food handling certification or ability to obtain one (e.g., Food Safe Level 1 Certification).

Alberta Health Services (AHS) Food Premises Certification.

Preferred: Experience in high-volume or fine dining restaurants.

Preferred: Knowledge of different cooking techniques and culinary styles.

Preferred: Ability to work well in a team setting.

Preferred: Strong communication and organizational skills.
