Frankie's Italian is a made-from-scratch Italian kitchen with hand-stretched pizzas, one block from Stadium–Chinatown SkyTrain and steps from BC Place and Rogers Arena. We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus room service, catering and event nights, and Frankie's Jazz Club sits right next door with live jazz and blues. We're hiring a Restaurant Manager to run the whole operation day to day: the team, the guest experience and the numbers.

Salary: $60,000 to $65,000 a year, plus an annual performance bonus. Full-time and permanent.

Schedule: 5 days a week, a mix of days and evenings, including weekends and event nights.

Reports to: General Manager.

What you'll do

- Lead the front-of-house leadership team (Floor Manager, supervisors and leads) and set the standard for every service across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- Hire, onboard, train and develop servers, bartenders and hosts. Run reviews and grow your next supervisors from within.
- Own the numbers that matter: sales, check average, labour and controllable costs. Build schedules to the forecast and read the P&L; with us every period.
- Hold steps of service and SOPs to standard, run regular audits, and turn guest feedback and online reviews into action plans.
- Partner with the Chef on food quality and menu changes, and with the Beverage Manager on the bar program.
- Plan and run event nights, groups, catering and room service with our Guest Services Manager, especially on BC Place and Rogers Arena game and concert nights.
- Keep the restaurant safe and compliant: Serving It Right, FOODSAFE, health inspections, WorkSafeBC and a strict allergy process on every shift.
- Report weekly to the General Manager on results, progress and problems.

What you need

- 3+ years managing in high-volume, full-service restaurants, including at least 1 year as an Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager or equivalent.
- A track record of hitting sales, labour and cost targets, and comfort reading a P&L.;
- Proof that you can hire, train and keep a solid team.
- Calm, visible leadership at peak, and a habit of coaching in the moment.
- Working knowledge of POS, scheduling software and spreadsheets.
- Serving It Right certification and FOODSAFE Level 1 (or able to get it within 30 days of starting).
- Availability for weekends, evenings and event nights.

Nice to have

- Experience with Squirrel POS, PUSH scheduling, OpenTable or Optimum Control.
- WSET or similar wine training.
- Catering, events or room service experience.
