Join Vaco/Highspring's client as a Payroll Specialist handling driver and employee payroll in the Greater Toronto Area. This role requires expertise in payroll processing and solid attention to detail.

In this independent position, you will manage payroll for both drivers and office employees, ensuring accurate record-keeping. Responsibilities include tracking driver work hours, processing deductions, and preparing payroll summaries. A background in transportation is preferred, but training is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
• Track driver work hours using Samsara
• Process payroll for company drivers and office employees
• Verify timesheets and calculate wages
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries
• Complete daily EFS reporting and reconciliation

Requirements:
• Previous payroll experience required
• Experience in the transportation/trucking industry preferred
• Familiarity with hourly and salaried payroll processing
• Solid attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently in this payroll role
