Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Roofer role based in Ottawa, Ontario. The Roofer will install, repair, and replace roofing systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Daily tasks include preparing job sites, removing old roofing materials, installing new shingles or other roofing products, applying waterproofing and insulation solutions, and performing detailed inspections for leaks or damage.

The role involves working at height, using hand and power tools, and collaborating with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule.



The Roofer is expected to follow company procedures, maintain a clean and safe work area, and provide professional, respectful service to clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

- Strong roofing skills, including experience with various roof systems and materials (Roofs, Waterproofing).
- Knowledge of building and structural work related to roofing, such as framing and repairs (Carpentry).
- Ability to install and work with insulation materials to support energy efficiency and roof performance (Insulation).
- Demonstrated capability and comfort working safely at height, including use of ladders, scaffolding, and fall protection (Working at Height).
- Understanding of and adherence to safety regulations, including use of personal protective equipment and safe tool operation.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and extended periods of outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to identify and repair roof defects effectively.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented workplace.
- Prior roofing or construction experience is strongly preferred; relevant trade certification or apprenticeship is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites in Ottawa region is beneficial.
