QUALIFICATIONS - Successful completion of a Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) recognized Health Information Management ( HIM ) program.





- Successfully challenged the CHIMA national Certification Exam / holds a valid CHIMA certificate and is a current member in good standing with CHIMA.
- Successful completion of ICD10 / CCI coding testing may be required.
- Ability to attend work on a regular basis.
- Ability to perform the duties of the position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Health Information Professional 2 may be responsible for:

- Coding and abstracting data according to national and provincial standards.
- Verifying health record information to ensure that it meets all standards and regulations.
- Releasing Personal Health Information when appropriate.
- Performing basic data analysis and utilization management activities.
