Prairie Sky Crop Solutions is one of the leading seed and pesticide retails and aerial applicators in Southern Manitoba. We strive on providing our customers with the products, knowledge, and service to help maximize their yields and profits. In addition to seed and pesticide sales we offer our customers comprehensive agronomy services as well as aerial application with our fleet of turbine powered aircraft.

In addition to the retail services, we run a grain farm called RPL Farms which grows corn, soybeans, canola, and cereals. Under RPL Farms we are producing high-quality pedigreed cereals as well as providing our customers with extensive seed and pesticide knowledge through test plots.

A sales agronomist role at Prairie Sky includes working closely with growers providing up to date agronomy information and resources throughout the growing season. These services can include, but are not limited to:

· Crop and fertilizer planning

· Seed treating and delivery

· Field scouting and pest identification

· Recommendations and advice on pesticides

· Soil testing A sales agronomist at Prairie Sky would also be involved with the following duties:

· Customer relations and promotion of the products and services we provide





· Seed variety and pesticide test plots both within our company and working with growers

· Working with digital farming applications

· Planning and managing work orders for both ground and aerial applications

· Management of our AWSA certified warehouse

· Logistics of seed deliveries, both shipping and receiving

Job requirements

· Possess post-secondary education in Agronomy or a related field

· Experience in Agronomy, agricultural sales, or a related field

· CCA or equivalent certification is considered an asset but not required

· Willing to work in a team setting along applicators, yard and office staff, as well as other agronomists

· Willing to work in varying settings (ie: in field or office)

· Versatile to work evenings and weekends when necessary A successful candidate will be offered:
