Sales Associate / Sampling Associate

Job Summary

Ayoub’s Dried Fruits & Nuts is looking for a friendly, outgoing, and energetic Sales Associate / Sampling Associate to join our seasonal kiosk team.

This role is all about customer interaction. You will engage with shoppers, offer samples, introduce them to Ayoub’s products, answer questions, make recommendations, and help turn curiosity into a great customer experience. We are looking for someone who is comfortable approaching people, starting conversations, and sharing their enthusiasm for our products.

This is a temporary position from October 17, 2026 to January 31, 2027, with the opportunity for strong performers to move into a permanent position at one of our retail locations based on performance and availability.

Responsibilities

- Engage with shoppers and invite them to sample Ayoub’s products.
- Introduce customers to our nuts, dried fruits, sweets, snacks, and specialty products.
- Explain products, flavours, ingredients, and key features in a friendly and knowledgeable way.
- Ask questions and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Assist customers with purchases and product selection.
- Set up, maintain, and replenish the sampling area throughout the day.




- Follow proper food handling, hygiene, and sampling procedures.
- Keep the kiosk clean, organized, attractive, and well stocked.
- Support sales by creating genuine conversations and encouraging customers to explore different products.
- Promote the Ayoub’s loyalty program when appropriate.
- Work closely with the rest of the kiosk team to keep operations running smoothly.

- Customer service, retail, food service, sales, or promotional experience is an asset, but not required.
- Experience with product demonstrations or sampling is an asset.
- Mandarin language skills are a strong asset.
- Additional language skills are also an asset.
