$60,000 per year plus BONUS eligibility The Sales Manager – SMERF & Social is responsible for generating group room nights, meeting revenue, and event opportunities from the Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal market segments, including weddings, reunions, sports teams, celebrations, community groups, and other social events for the DoubleTree & Home2 Suites by Hilton Kingston.

This role is focused on proactive sales generation, account management, relationship building, and ensuring a seamless customer experience from initial inquiry through event completion.

The Sales

Manager will actively solicit recent business, respond to inbound inquiries, conduct site tours, negotiate contracts, follow up on leads, and coordinate closely with hotel operations to ensure all client expectations are met. The position requires strong communication, organization, attention to detail, accountability, and exceptional follow-through.

- Solicit new business within the Social, Military, Educational, Religious, and Fraternal (SMERF) market segments.
- Prospect and secure weddings, family reunions, sports teams, association groups, celebrations, community events, tournaments, bus tours, and other social group opportunities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local organizations, schools, sports associations, wedding professionals, military contacts, religious organizations, and community groups.
- Conduct outside sales calls, networking events, trade shows, wedding shows, community events, and industry functions to generate new business.




- Actively seek opportunities to promote both DoubleTree by Hilton Kingston and Home2 Suites by Hilton Kingston within the local community.
- Generate new revenue opportunities through proactive solicitation and relationship management.
- Meet or exceed established room night, revenue, and profitability goals.

Performance Expectations Success in this role includes:
- Consistent achievement of room night and revenue goals.
- Timely response to all inbound inquiries.
- Proactive follow-up and follow-through on all leads and client commitments.
- Growth of SMERF and Social market share.
- Conversion of site tours into confirmed business.
- Accurate contracts, billing instructions, rooming lists, and event information.
- Strong collaboration with operational departments.
- Positive client feedback and repeat business.
- Professional representation of both hotels within the community.
- Demonstrated accountability, ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to customer service excellence.

Requirements
- Must have excellent communication, written and verbal required
- Must have a sharp knowledge and understanding of the hotel sales / operations
- This position must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in hotel sales
- Energetic and outgoing, with a positive attitude, driven to provide outstanding guest service.
- A working knowledge of Delphi is a plus.
- Self-motivated with the ability to function and make decisions in a fast-paced high-pressure environment with strong attention to detail and organization.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $60,000.00 per year
