Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Scale Operator to join our team. The Scale Operator will be responsible for accurately weighing materials and ensuring proper documentation and data entry. This role requires excellent customer service skills, as you will interact with clients and provide support throughout the weighing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational abilities and proficiency in using Google Suite for data management.

Responsibilities

Raw Materials, Maintenance Materials, and Supplies Management:

- Receive, document, and log all raw material deliveries into the system.
- Handle maintenance materials with the same process as other deliveries, ensuring proper documentation and storage.
- Perform moisture probes and collect samples of raw materials for lab analysis.
- Direct delivery drivers to appropriate unloading sites and communicate with managers and unloading staff via radio.
- Oversee the receipt and documentation of supplies for Ashburn, Greenwood, and OMF.
- Report weekly deliveries to the General Manager and Accounting Department.
- Visitor and Personnel Check-In:
- Greet and monitor all individuals entering the property, including, contractors, vendors, brand representatives, and personal visitors.
- Ensure all visitors sign in and out, clearly stating the purpose of their visit

Shipping Support:

- Assist with scaling in and out for compost shipping operations.
- Collaborate with the Shipping Department to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Administrative Tasks:

- Maintain accurate records of all materials, maintenance materials, supplies, and personnel movements.
- Operate a computer system to log deliveries and generate reports as needed.
- Representation and Communication:




- Act as the face of the company at the main gate, ensuring all interactions are handled with professionalism and a service-oriented attitude.
- Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth coordination of deliveries, shipments, and personnel movements.
- Demonstrate initiative and continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and contribute to the success of the role.

Qualifications:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with drivers, managers, and visitors.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Basic computer proficiency (e.g., data entry, email communication).
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work independently.
- Familiarity with radio communication and safety protocols (preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar role or in logistics/warehouse environments is an asset.

Requirements

- Previous experience in a clerical or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members.
