The holiday season is one of the busiest and most exciting times at the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg. Throughout November and December, our building comes alive with holiday parties, celebrations and special events — and we're looking for Seasonal Banquet Servers to join our team and help us deliver an elevated experience to every guest who walks through our doors.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to earn extra income during the holiday season while being part of a fast-paced, energetic event environment.

Our greatest need is Friday and Saturday evenings throughout November and December, with shifts starting as early as 4:00 p.m. and continuing into the evening. Additional shifts may also be available based on our event schedule.

What You'll Do

As a Seasonal Banquet Server, you'll be part of the team that brings our events to life. From welcoming guests and serving dinner to keeping tables looking their best throughout the evening, you'll help deliver on our Guest Experience Promise — every event, every guest, every day.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Setting tables and preparing serving stations and buffet areas before events.
- Welcoming guests and assisting them with seating, directions and questions.
- Serving food and beverages while following RBC Convention Centre service standards.
- Carrying trays of plated meals, appetizers and beverages safely and professionally.
- Anticipating guest needs and responding promptly and courteously to requests.
- Clearing tables throughout service and assisting with event clean-up and tear down.
- Working closely with fellow servers,



Banquet Managers and our Culinary team to keep service running smoothly.
- Assisting with occasional concession or other event service duties as required.
- Following all food safety, sanitation and workplace safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

- Previous serving, banquet, restaurant, catering or hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Have a genuine guest-focused attitude and take pride in providing great service.
- Are friendly, professional and comfortable interacting with a wide variety of guests.
- Are reliable and understand that every member of the team is counting on them to show up and be ready for their scheduled shift.
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Can follow direction and adapt quickly as the needs of an event change.
- Remain positive and professional during busy service periods.
- Are available to work primarily Friday and Saturday evenings throughout November and December, with shifts beginning as early as 4:00 p.m.
- Must be 18 years of age or older and hold a valid Manitoba Smart Choices certification, or be willing to obtain certification prior to their first shift.
- Are legally entitled to work in Canada. Proof of work or student permit and supporting documentation will be required upon hire.





Physical Requirements Banquet service is active and physically demanding. Applicants must be able to:

- Stand for extended periods throughout a shift.
- Walk considerable distances throughout our large event facility.
- Safely lift and carry serving trays weighing up to 20 lbs.
- Push and pull carts containing dishes, glassware and other banquet supplies.
- Bend, reach, lift and perform other physical tasks associated with banquet service.
