About Kinderhood

Kinderhood is a Richmond, BC family business that has been bringing thoughtfully designed children's toys and gifts to Canadian families since 2014. We distribute brands like Tender Leaf Toys and Mentari — beautifully crafted wooden toys made to be played with and passed down. This holiday season, you'll find us at the Shipyards Christmas Market, held indoors at The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver, and we're looking for friendly, energetic people to join our booth team.

The Role

As a Seasonal Sales Associate, you'll be the face of Kinderhood at our Christmas Market booth. You'll help parents, grandparents and gift-shoppers find the perfect toy, share what makes our products special, and keep the booth looking warm, festive and well stocked.

What You'll Do

- Welcome visitors and help them choose age-appropriate toys and gifts, explaining product features, materials and play value
- Demonstrate toys and suggest complementary items or bundles to complete a gift
- Process sales on our Square POS (card and cash) accurately and quickly, including during busy evening and weekend rushes
- Keep displays tidy, attractive and fully stocked; restock from back-up inventory throughout the shift
- Help with booth set-up and tear-down as scheduled
- Bag or gift-wrap purchases and answer questions about our online store, kinderhood.ca
- Work as a team with other booth staff to keep the space safe, organized and welcoming

What We're Looking For

- Retail, market or customer service experience is a plus,



but not required — a positive attitude and willingness to learn matter most
- Genuine enjoyment of talking with people, especially families and kids
- Clear communication in English; Mandarin, Cantonese or another language is a bonus
- Comfortable handling cash and using a POS system
- Able to stand for long periods, move around a busy indoor market, and lift boxes up to about 15 kg
- Available evenings and weekends during the market season, including some days close to Christmas
- Reliable, punctual and organized
