Our client is an established and growing international organization with operations across multiple regions and a collaborative, cross-border finance team. They are looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to their Halifax team.This is a permanent, hybrid (2 - 3 days in office) role suited to a senior accounting professional who is comfortable working autonomously, managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities, and serving as a key resource for Canadian tax matters.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

- Manage day-to-day general accounting activities for the Halifax operation
- Serve as the primary internal resource for Canadian tax matters and related requirements
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation
- Support multi-entity accounting and transactions
- Assist with account reconciliations, month-end processes, financial reporting, and other accounting functions
- Coordinate with international finance teams to ensure accurate and timely financial information
- Identify discrepancies and support the resolution of accounting and financial issues
- Work independently while maintaining robust communication with the broader cross-border finance team
- Contribute to process improvements and other accounting initiatives as required

Experience & Attributes for Success:

- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at a senior level
- Strong Canadian tax knowledge and hands-on experience with Canadian tax matters
- Experience working with multiple entities or in a multi-jurisdictional environment is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage priorities independently
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills




- Comfortable collaborating with colleagues across different countries and time zones
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a professional, autonomous environment
