Senior Functional Consultant – Commercial Lending (ACBS)
Positions: 5 Openings — Mid-Level to Senior
Duration: Long-Term Contract
Location: Canada — Remote

Job Summary
We are seeking Senior Functional Consultants with strong Commercial Lending / Commercial Loan Servicing experience , including direct experience with ACBS or other commercial lending platforms .
The Functional Consultant will work on commercial loan servicing implementations, enhancements, integrations, system conversions, requirements gathering, and testing activities .
Key Responsibilities
- Work independently or as part of a team on technology business consulting projects to meet business requirements.
- Define product scope, objectives, requirements, specifications, and data models for development and testing.
- Gather, refine, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for software modifications, custom enhancements, and system integrations.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including:
- Business requirements
- Process flows
- Functional specifications
- Procedural guides
- Collaborate with technical analysts and developers to translate requirements into functional designs and provide development estimates.
- Develop detailed test plans and test cases to validate application changes and maintain system integrity.
- Conduct and support:
- System Testing
- Integration Testing
- Readiness Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Provide functional support to developers throughout the development lifecycle.
- Clarify requirements and assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Support business users and stakeholders during testing by providing guidance and troubleshooting.
- Contribute to successful implementation, validation, and adoption of commercial lending solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive, hands-on functional experience with Commercial Loan Servicing (ACBS) or other Commercial Lending solutions .
- Typically 5+ years of experience working with financial institutions, with direct involvement in commercial loan servicing.
- Demonstrated experience with system conversions , including analyzing and documenting application and system interactions.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending processes and workflows .
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in internal and customer-facing environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with end-to-end software implementations , preferably within a software vendor or qualified services environment.
- Strong customer-service mindset.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules to support Europe and U.S. time zones .
