Senior React Frontend Developer

Location: Mississauga, ON – 3 days/week onsite

Employment: Contract to Hire

Summary

Senior Frontend Developer responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable enterprise web applications using React, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, and SQL Server. The role involves building high-quality UI solutions, integrating REST APIs, supporting production applications, and collaborating with business and technical stakeholders on a financial calculation platform.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop scalable, responsive applications using React, JavaScript/ES6+, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js.

Build reusable components, frontend architecture, and state-management solutions.

Integrate React applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.

Develop clean, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.

Troubleshoot application, data, and production issues.

Collaborate with BAs, developers, QA, UAT, and business stakeholders.

Participate in technical walkthroughs, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and releases.

Contribute to CI/CD and Agile development processes.

Support applications throughout the SDLC from design through production.

Required Skills

8+ years of software development experience with strong frontend expertise.

Advanced hands-on experience with React and JavaScript.

Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern frontend architecture.

Experience with Node.js, Angular, REST APIs, and SQL Server.





Strong understanding of reusable components, state management, API integration, and enterprise application development.

Experience with CI/CD, Agile, SDLC, testing, and production support.

Robust analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.

Financial domain experience is an asset.

Java/Spring/Spring Boot experience is an asset for backend integration.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
