The Role

We’re hiring an experienced Senior Landscape Construction Crew Leader who brings a strong construction background, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable leading complex projects from the field.

This role will primarily involve large-scale outdoor construction projects, with opportunities to work on interior construction as needed. Strong landscape construction experience is essential, while experience with interior renovations, carpentry, and finishing work would be a significant asset.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate daily execution, lead and support the crew, work alongside sub-trades, and ensure every project is completed safely, efficiently, and to Niagara Outdoor standards.

- Work is completed safely, accurately, and with minimal rework
- Projects hit planned milestones and the Project Manager is never surprised

- Quality issues are caught early and corrected before they become larger problems
- Daily documentation is complete, including progress notes, labour hours, materials, inventory and site issues

Responsibilities

- Independently leads a construction crew
- Interpret and execute plans and specifications accurately, including layouts, grades, elevations, measurements, and construction details
- Lead, supervise and train the crew, assign tasks, coach performance, and keep work progressing efficiently
- Perform and oversee hands-on construction work to Niagara Outdoor standards
- Coordinate effectively with contractors and sub-trades on site
- Complete ongoing quality checks and address deficiencies as they arise
- Operate equipment and tools safely and ensure proper care and use
- Maintain an organized, skilled, and clean jobsite
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures and address unsafe practices immediately
- Complete daily documentation including progress notes, labour hours, materials, inventory needs, and site issues




- Assist with interior construction and finishing work as required based on project needs

Required

- Minimum 5 years of relevant construction experience, including significant landscape construction experience
- Proven experience leading crews and managing day-to-day jobsite operations
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction methods and installation practices
- Strong ability to read construction drawings, plans, and specifications
- Valid G license with a good driving abstract
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Comitment to safe work practices and high-quality workmanship

Assets · Experience with high-end residential hardscape and outdoor living projects

· Experience leading a 2-4 person crew

· Interior construction, renovations, carpentry, or finishing experience

· Ontario AR license

· Post-secondary education in construction, landscape, carpentry, or a related field

· Relevant construction, equipment, first aid or safety certifications

· Strong eye for finish details and jobsite organization

Compensation

$35 to $45/hour, based on experience and skill set (discussed at first interview)
