Our Platform Engineering team builds the secure, reusable foundations every product team stands on. We're hiring two senior engineers on contract to help build it.

The opportunity

Our product teams shouldn't each have to solve authentication, sessions, API handling, telemetry and configuration on their own. You'll solve those problems once, properly, in shared libraries, SDKs and services that teams adopt rather than rebuild.

We're hiring into two streams. Apply for the one that fits you best:

Stream 1: Web Platform (Angular / TypeScript)

Build the shared web platform that lets every team ship secure, consistent Angular applications faster.

- Build reusable web platform components, shared frontend libraries and SDK capabilities
- Implement authentication and authorisation integration, and session-related frontend behaviour
- Set standard patterns for API integration, error handling, logging, telemetry and configuration
- Define reference implementations that application teams follow

Stream 2: Backend / Identity Platform (C# / .NET) Own the backend and identity foundations that keep every application secure, observable and consistent.

- Build reusable backend platform services and common libraries
- Implement authentication, authorisation, session management and secure token handling
- Set standard patterns for API security and integration




- Set the standard for error handling, logging, tracing and how services behave in production

Both streams will:

- Work closely with architects and with engineers in the other stream, so the frontend and backend platforms stay aligned
- Give development teams technical guidance and reference implementations

Contract details

- 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension
- Hybrid, based in Toronto, ON

What you'll bring (both streams)

- 7+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience building reusable libraries, frameworks, SDKs or shared platform services
- Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect and JWT
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
- Experience with enterprise authentication and authorisation
- Strong understanding of HTTP, REST APIs and modern web application architecture
- Strong automated testing practice
- Git and CI/CD experience

Plus, for Web Platform:

- Strong Angular and TypeScript / JavaScript experience
- Strong understanding of browser security

Plus, for Backend / Identity Platform:

- Strong C# and modern .NET / ASP.NET Core experience
- Experience designing enterprise APIs and session-management solutions
- Robust understanding of API security and distributed architecture





Nice to have

- AWS
- OpenTelemetry or distributed tracing
- Hands-on use of AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot or similar)
- Web Platform: MSAL, micro-frontends, ASP.NET Core / C#
- Backend: Redis or distributed caching, API Gateway, Backend-for-Frontend (BFF), PostgreSQL, event-driven architecture, Python / FastAPI
