Senior PLC and Robotic Programmer

As a Senior PLC and Robotic Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in our automation team. You will be responsible for bringing custom automation to life by developing,



implementing and troubleshooting PLC and Robotic controlled automation systems designed for various industry sectors. Job Type: Full-time Salary: Based on experience

Primary Responsibilities

- Development of PLC, Robot and HMI Programs offline using custom electrical design and mechanical drawings for reference.
- Set up and configure the network architecture between devices and supporting equipment.
- Work in collaboration with project managers, project leads, build leads, mechanical designers, machine tool builders, and electricians to successfully complete projects on time and on budget.
- Mentor and train entry-level employees in their role and assist with the continual development of controls, architecture standards, and best practices.
- Support factory acceptance testing of equipment, customer site acceptance testing, and operator and maintenance training programs.

Software and Hardware Expertise

- Beckhoff / Allen Bradley / Omron / Siemens
- Kawasaki / Kuka / Fanuc / ABB / Yaskawa/Motoman / Toshiba Machine
- Vision Guided Robotics – Custom & Standard Platforms
- Data Management – Database Integration with PLC
- Ignition, TwinCAT HMI, and SCADA experience is an asset.

Qualifications

- A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a licensed Trade equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in custom automation.
- Understand custom machine-building processes, including vision, laser, and assembly.
- Understanding of the Ontario Electrical Code and electrical circuits.
