Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Wireless Communications, or a related discipline.

- Five or more years of experience in RF planning, RAN design, wireless engineering, or a related field with Canadian cellular operators.

- Knowledge of LTE and 5G NR radio-network planning and design.

- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: RF Qualification and coverage analysis, RF planning specifications, Final Cell Design, CivilSub or RF work-order design, Safety Code 6 or RF exposure compliance.

- Strong understanding of antennas, radios, basebands, MIMO, RF cabling, sector configurations, azimuths, heights, tilts, power, and radio-to-antenna connectivity.

- Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications





- Experience with Canadian wireless-network deployments and regulatory requirements.

- Experience with Ericsson radio, antenna, and baseband products.

- Familiarity with tools such as Planet, MapInfo, Google Earth, EMF Visual, Visio, ADM, Remedy, Jira, SharePoint.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

- Perform RF capacity, traffic, coverage, and performance analysis.

- Identify coverage and capacity issues and recommend radio upgrades, carrier additions, spectrum additions, sector changes, or current-site solutions.

- Create and revise RF planning specifications for new builds, upgrades, relocations, temporary sites, and spectrum programs.
