Job summary:

Lomita Tutoring is looking for a reliable and personable part time tutor to provide in-person academic

support to students in Okotoks. The ideal candidate enjoys working with students, communicates

clearly, and is comfortable supporting students in one or more K-12 subject areas. Tutoring sessions are

scheduled based on student demand and tutor availability.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one tutoring support to students in assigned subject areas
Explain concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to each student’s learning style
Help students strengthen their understanding, confidence, study skills, and academic

Performance
Communicate professionally with students, families, and the Lomita Tutoring team

Qualifications:
Reliable, qualified, patient, and comfortable working independently with students




Solid academic background in the subject(s) you wish to tutor
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to travel to in-person tutoring sessions within Okotoks
Must be willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
Previous tutoring, mentoring, coaching, or experience working with youth is an asset, but not

required
