Server / Front of House Staff – Ramen Arashi Kelowna

Ramen Arashi is an authentic Japanese ramen restaurant that has been serving the Kelowna community since September 2023.

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable team members to join our front of house team!

No previous restaurant experience? No problem! We provide training and welcome applicants who are eager to learn and enjoy working with people.

Responsibilities

- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, attentive service
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner
- Assist customers with menu questions and recommendations
- Process payments and handle cash and card transactions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining area
- Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general restaurant duties
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and restaurant service standards
- Create a positive dining experience for every guest

Qualifications
- No previous restaurant experience required – training provided!
- Friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused attitude
- Reliable, responsible, and punctual
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Enjoy working with people and being part of a team
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn




- Interest in Japanese food and culture is a plus
- Availability to work weekends and holidays is an asset
- Serving It Right certification required before performing alcohol-serving duties (willingness to obtain certification is acceptable when applying)

Pay & Benefits
- Starting wage: $18.25/hour
- Additional tips: Approximately $6–$12/hour, depending on business volume and tip distribution (not guaranteed)

Work Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Morning and evening shifts
- Typical shifts are approximately 5–6 hours
- Morning shifts: Approximately 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- Evening shifts: Approximately 4:00 PM to closing (8:30 PM)
- Weekend availability is preferred
