Part time Server – Local Tapas Bar on Gabriola Island

Our bustling local tapas bar is looking for a part-time server to join our tight-knit team. We specialize in shared plates, local ingredients, and an exceptional drink menu, providing our guests with a warm, memorable dining experience.

About the Role

As a part-time server, you will be the face of our guest experience. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, social environment and enjoys guiding guests through a curated menu of small plates, wine pairings, and craft cocktails.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Greeting and seating guests with genuine warmth
- Explaining our rotating tapas features and making beverage recommendations
- Taking orders accurately and managing table pacing for a relaxed yet efficient dining experience
- Serving food and drinks with care and attending to guest needs
- Collaborating closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining room and patio space

What We Are Looking For

- Previous serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred,



but a great attitude and willingness to learn matter most
- Strong communication skills and a natural ability to connect with locals and visitors alike
- A team-first mindset and the ability to stay calm and positive during busy weekend shifts
- Valid Serving It Right certification (or willingness to obtain it before your first shift)
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
- Reliability and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
