Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with food handling and POS systems are highly valued. The Server plays a critical role in providing an outstanding dining experience that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.

Responsibilities

- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, courteous service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support team operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods




- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
- Basic Japanese cuisine knowledge

Skills

- Proficiency with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting with excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills
- Familiarity with food industry standards, serving etiquette, and upselling techniques
- Kitchen experience or food preparation skills are a plus but not required
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and guests
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism

Job Types: Full time, Part-time, Permanent Pay: $17.60 per hour
