Scotia Hyundai is looking for an outgoing, organized, and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team in beautiful Amherst, Nova Scotia.

The Service Advisor is one of the most important customer-facing positions in our dealership. You will be the connection between our customers and our technicians, helping customers understand what their vehicle needs while ensuring repairs and maintenance move through the shop efficiently.

The Role

As a Service Advisor, you will greet customers, discuss their vehicle concerns, prepare repair orders, communicate recommended maintenance and repairs, provide updates throughout the process, and make sure each customer leaves feeling informed and well looked after.

Key Responsibilities

- Greet Service customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Prepare repair orders and explain recommended maintenance and repairs
- Provide customers with estimates and obtain repair authorizations
- Maintain regular communication with customers while their vehicle is being serviced
- Work closely with technicians to understand vehicle findings and repair requirements
- Coordinate with the Parts Department regarding parts availability
- Review completed work with customers and explain invoices clearly
- Schedule service appointments and assist with shop workflow
- Recommend manufacturer-required and preventative maintenance when appropriate




- Follow up with customers and help maintain strong long-term relationships
- Handle customer questions or concerns professionally
- Maintain accurate customer and vehicle records
- Support dealership customer satisfaction and retention goals
