Job Description
The responsibilities are as follows:

Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep/Profile, CaseWare)





Reviewing and preparing of Compilation Engagement files and T2 corporate tax returns – intermediate level files and above

Understanding of corporate tax balances (CDA, RDTOH, GRIP etc.)

Preparation of corporate or personal tax planning scenario calculations

Reviewing and preparing of Canadian personal tax returns – intermediate level files and above

Fulfills a variety of support and mentoring roles for clients and junior staff

Prepare/review GST and other statutory returns for clients as required

Assists with special projects as assigned by partners and senior managers

Qualifications:

Approximately 3-5 years working in a public practice role

CPA designation

Great work ethic and ability to work in a team environment

Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with both clients and colleagues

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

High attention to detail

Additional skills of a preferred candidate:

Familiarity with accounting and tax software (SAGE, QuickBooks, TaxPrep, CaseWare)

Corporate accounting or financial statement experience

Corporate tax experience

Personal tax experience

Bookkeeping experience
