We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sewing Machine Operator to join our team. This individual will play a key role in stitching seat cushions, slipcovers, decorative pillows, and other upholstered furniture components while maintaining high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating industrial sewing machines, working with a variety of upholstery fabrics and textiles, and reading pattern specifications. A strong eye for detail and a working knowledge of furniture manufacturing quality control are essential.

This position is on-site Monday-Friday. Hybrid work is not available.

Applicants must possess a valid work permit (if applicable) with a minimum validity of 12 months.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Set up and adjust sewing machines according to project specifications and quality standards
- Operate industrial sewing machines, including double needle, serger, overlock, and zipper machines
- Sew cushions, pillows, covers, and other upholstered products according to specifications
- Work with leather, vinyl,



upholstery fabrics, and other heavy-duty materials
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot issues promptly, and perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth operation
- Inspect finished products for defects, accuracy, and quality compliance before packaging
- Follow safety procedures diligently to maintain a safe and clean working setting for yourself and colleagues
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship

Skills and Qualifications:

- Prior experience in manufacturing or warehouse environments is highly preferred
- Minimum 8 years of industrial sewing experience is required
- Familiarity with operating double needle, serger, and zipper machines is a requirement
- Experience sewing leather, vinyl, and heavy materials is required
- Experience sewing cushions, pillows, seat covers, or similar products is considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality control
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt in a fast-moving production setting
- Reliable and dependable with a strong independent work ethic

Education:



High School Diploma or Post Secondary Education is considered an asset, but not a requirement. Work related experience in a similar role or field is a bonus.
