Position Summary:

The Shift Leader is an introductory leadership role that provides hands-on experience in leading restaurant operations while delivering exceptional guest service.

Working closely with our management team, you'll learn every aspect of front-of-house operations—from serving and bartending to leading a shift and making operational decisions that drive team performance and guest satisfaction.

This is an important leadership role responsible for supporting the team, coaching staff, and ensuring operational excellence during every shift.

What You'll Do:

Guest Experience

- Deliver exceptional hospitality and create memorable guest experiences.
- Resolve guest concerns professionally and confidently.
- Build relationships with guests and promote a culture where every guest leaves happy.

Shift Leadership

- Lead daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
- Set the pace, energy, and standards for the team.
- Support, motivate, and coach front-of-house team members throughout service.
- Ensure smooth communication between the kitchen and front-of-house teams

Team Development





- Coach and mentor servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
- Assist with onboarding and training new employees.
- Provide real-time feedback to improve performance and service standards.
- Help foster a positive, accountable, and high-performing team culture.

Operations & Business Performance

- Monitor labour costs and productivity throughout each shift.
- Support daily sales goals and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Ensure discounts, promotions, and comps are applied appropriately.
- Help manage daily budgets and operational efficiency.
- Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, and service execution.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet El Corazon's standards before reaching guests.

Beverage Operations

- As part of your leadership development, you'll also learn:

- Product rotation and cost control
- Inventory accuracy and loss prevention
