Project Location: Camrose, Alberta

Employment Type: Full-time, Temporary Contract (7.5 Months)

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (50 hours/week)

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, safety-minded Skilled Labourer for a 7.5-month industrial project. This role requires hands-on experience in industrial environments, heavy material handling, structural and mechanical asset removal, and strict adherence to jobsite safety and environmental compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Site Preparation & Support: Assist with initial jobsite setup, containment installations, exclusion zone setups, and ongoing site organization.
- Demolition & Asset Removal: Perform manual labour supporting structural, mechanical, and equipment dismantling operations using handheld power tools, and rigging accessories.
- Material Handling & Staging: Sort, load, stack, and secure salvageable equipment, structural steel, and scrap materials into transport containers or dedicated staging areas.
- Rigging & Overhead Spotting: Assist signalers and crane/rigging crews with rigging attachments, taglines, and load management during heavy lifts.
- Jobsite Safety Compliance: Strictly enforce and comply with Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP), daily Hazard Assessments (FLHAs), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and hazard mitigation protocols.
- Site Maintenance & Housekeeping: Maintain clean, clear access corridors, perform continuous cleanup of debris, and manage waste streams safely.





Key Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in industrial construction, commercial construction, or similar fields.
- Certifications (Required/Preferred):
- CSTS-20 (Construction Safety Training System)
- WHMIS 2015
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (Asset)
- Fall Protection / Elevated Work Platform certification (Asset)
- Physical Capability: Ability to perform heavy manual labour in all outdoor weather conditions (lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing, bending, climbing, and working at heights).
- Skills & Tools: Proficient with pneumatic tools, grinders, reciprocating saws, and general industrial hand tools. Experience with rigging is a solid asset.
- Reliability: Valid driver’s license, reliable personal transportation, and an outstanding record for punctuality and attendance. Clean driver's abstract and criminal record (asset)
- Safety First Mindset: Zero tolerance for unsafe working practices; active participant in safety toolboxes and hazard identification.

Working Conditions & Schedule

- Work Shift: 10 hours per day (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM), Monday through Friday.
- Project Duration: November 2026 – May/June 2027 (7.5 months continuously).
- PPE: Hard hat, high-vis wear, safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toe work boots (6-inch minimum) required on day one.
