Riverwood Landscape is hiring two plow/salt-truck operators and one loader/skid-steer operator for the upcoming winter season.

We maintain commercial and condominium properties exclusively in Guelph. You’ll operate company equipment, follow an assigned route and work with our team to keep properties clear and accessible.

You do not need experience on every type of equipment. Tell us what you can operate confidently and independently.

Positions and pay

- Plow / salt-truck operators: $27–$30 per hour. Primarily salting assigned properties, with plowing and sidewalk salting assistance as required.
- Loader / skid-steer operator: $30–$35 per hour. Primarily clearing parking lots, drive lanes and property access routes.

Pay within each range depends on demonstrated experience, secure operation and ability to complete a route independently.

What you’ll do

- Operate your assigned equipment safely around buildings, vehicles and pedestrians.
- Follow site instructions for clearing, snow placement and salt application.
- Complete equipment checks and report mechanical issues or damage.
- Record completed work and communicate progress with dispatch.
- Assist with other snow and ice work, including occasional manual clearing, when needed.

What we’re looking for

- Relevant experience operating plow trucks, salt trucks, loaders or skid steers.

- Commercial snow removal experience preferred.
- Reliability, good judgement and the ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation to our Guelph yard during winter weather.
- Availability for overnight, early-morning, daytime, weekend and holiday deployments.
- Availability throughout the winter, including January through March.

Truck positions require a valid G driver’s licence and a driving record acceptable to our insurer. Experienced equipment operators from construction, excavation and agriculture are welcome to apply. We provide equipment and site orientation.

Schedule

These are seasonal, weather-dependent positions starting in November. Hours and start times vary with conditions, and longer shifts may be required during significant snow events.

Year-round landscape maintenance opportunities may be available after winter.

To apply

Send your résumé and include:

- Which vehicles, machines and attachments you have operated independently.
- Your snow removal and salting experience.
- Your driver’s licence class.
- Your winter availability and any work or school commitments that affect it.
