Looking for More Than Just a Seasonal Snow Removal Job?

At Summit Property Group, we do things a little differently.

We know that working in snow removal can sometimes mean unpredictable hours, waiting for the next snowfall, and uncertainty about your next paycheque. That's why we've built our operations around providing consistent, full-time hours throughout the winter season — whether it's snowing or not.

With established contracts and a variety of property maintenance services, our teams stay busy during snow events and in between them. We offer paid overtime, employee benefits, and opportunities to transition into year-round employment.

We're looking for an experienced, dependable Snow Removal Crew Lead who takes pride in their work, enjoys leading a team, and wants to be part of a company that values its employees.

What Makes Summit Different?

- Consistent, Full-Time Hours: Our contracts keep our crews working throughout the winter, not just when it snows.
- Paid Overtime: Snow events can mean longer days, and we pay overtime for eligible hours worked.
- Year-Round Opportunities: We offer opportunities to continue working beyond winter through our landscaping, grounds maintenance, and other property services.
- Benefits for Everyone: All team members become eligible for our employee benefits program after three months of employment.
- Enhanced Benefits: Employees become eligible for additional benefits after three years of service.
- Room to Grow: We offer opportunities for employees at a variety of skill levels to develop their abilities, take on recent responsibilities, and build long-term careers.
- Established & Reliable: We're an experienced Calgary property maintenance company with long-standing contracts, established crews, and a strong commitment to safety.

- A Team That Values Your Work: We believe in recognizing hard work, supporting our employees, and providing the tools and training needed to succeed.

The Role As a Snow Removal Crew Lead, you'll be responsible for overseeing a crew completing snow and ice management services across commercial and institutional properties in Calgary.

This is a hands-on leadership position. You'll work alongside your crew while coordinating daily activities, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Leading, supervising, and supporting a snow removal crew.
- Coordinating daily work assignments and ensuring sites are completed efficiently and to company standards.
- Operating snow removal equipment, including snow blowers, powered equipment, and other machinery as required.
- Performing snow clearing, shovelling, sanding, salting, and ice management.
- Monitoring site conditions and identifying areas requiring additional attention.
- Training and mentoring crew members on safe work practices and equipment operation.
- Completing equipment inspections and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Communicating with management regarding site progress, staffing, equipment, and operational needs.
- Maintaining accurate records and photo documentation of completed work.
- Promoting a positive, productive, and safety-focused work environment.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who leads by example, takes initiative, and understands the importance of delivering reliable service.

When snow is in the forecast, our crews are expected to be available on call,

including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays. Snow doesn't follow a Monday-to-Friday schedule, and neither do our operations during winter weather events.

Ideal candidates will have:

- Previous snow removal, landscaping, or property maintenance experience.
- Experience supervising or leading a crew.
- A valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating snow removal equipment and machinery.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently, manage priorities, and make decisions in the field.
- A commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
- The flexibility to work early mornings, extended shifts, and variable schedules during winter weather events.
- The physical ability to work outdoors in demanding winter conditions.

Experience is important, but so are attitude, reliability, and leadership. We value people who take ownership of their work and want to grow with our company. A criminal record check is required as a condition of employment.

Build a Career, Not Just a Winter Job

At Summit Property Group, we take pride in offering more than just seasonal work. Our diverse service contracts allow us to provide steady employment, opportunities for advancement, and a workplace where employees can develop long-term careers.

Whether you're an experienced snow removal professional looking for a better opportunity or a strong crew leader ready to take the next step, we'd love to hear from you.

Ready to join the Summit team?

Send us your resume and tell us a little about your snow removal and leadership experience.

Join Summit Property Group — where hard work is valued, overtime is paid, and opportunities don't end when the snow melts.
