Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, hands-on, and detail-oriented Social Media & Content Specialist to join our marketing team. This role will be responsible for managing our social media presence, creating photo and video content, supporting email and digital marketing, and helping bring our brand to life across retail, e-commerce, events, and our farm. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys both creating and executing - from planning a month of social content and filming Reels to designing a sales sheet in Canva, writing a newsletter, working with creators, and supporting campaigns and events.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Develop and execute social media content across Instagram and Facebook, including Reels, Stories, carousels, and static posts.
- Plan and maintain the editorial content calendar and schedule posts using Zoho.
- Create photo and video content regularly, including product, lifestyle, farm/orchard, event, and behind-the-scenes content.
- Film and edit short-form video content using tools such as CapCut.
- Write engaging captions and other marketing copy while maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Manage daily community engagement, including comments, messages, tags, and customer interactions.
- Monitor social channels, UGC, and online mentions and identify opportunities to engage with customers and the community.
- Support paid advertising campaigns by developing and preparing creative assets for Meta, Google, and retail media platforms, in collaboration with external partners/agencies where applicable.
- Plan and create email newsletters and promotional email content using platforms such as Klaviyo.
- Support website and e-commerce content updates across platforms such as Shopify and WordPress.
- Create marketing and sales materials using Canva, including sales sheets,

product one-pagers, promotional graphics, coupons, thank-you cards, POS materials, event materials, presentations, and signage.
- Support retail and wholesale marketing initiatives, including new retailer launches, promotions, product features, and retailer-specific assets.
- Identify, research, and build relationships with relevant content creators and influencers.
- Coordinate UGC and creator collaborations, including outreach, product gifting, content follow-up, usage rights, and asset organization.
- Support giveaways, partnerships, events, tastings, and other brand activations from planning through execution and follow-up.
- Repurpose content across social media, email, website, paid advertising, and other marketing channels.
- Organize and maintain marketing assets, including photos, videos, templates, and approved creative files.
- Conduct research on social media, content, competitor, and industry trends to identify new opportunities and content ideas.
- Track and review social media, email, website, and campaign performance and use insights to improve future content.
- Stay up to date with social media, digital marketing, e-commerce, and content trends.

Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or a similar marketing role.
- Strong understanding of Instagram and Facebook
- Experience creating photo and video content for social media.

- Strong skills in Canva and CapCut.
- Experience with social media scheduling tools; familiarity with Zoho is an asset.
- Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and paid social advertising.
- Experience with email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo is an asset.
- Familiarity with Shopify and/or WordPress
- Basic understanding of analytics and performance metrics.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Robust understanding of branding and visual consistency.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a small marketing team.
- Experience working with creators, influencers, or UGC is an asset.
- Photography and video editing experience is required.
- Experience in retail, food & beverage, CPG, agriculture, or a local/family-owned business is an asset.
- Drone experience is a plus for orchard footage.
- Based in Kelowna, BC.

What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone who is comfortable getting involved in the full content and marketing process - not just planning or coordinating.

You might spend one day photographing products and filming content at the orchard, then editing a Reel, creating a promotional graphic in Canva, scheduling the next month of social content, responding to customer messages, preparing a newsletter, or coordinating with a content creator.

The ideal candidate is creative, proactive, organized, and comfortable wearing different hats. Join us as we continue to grow the Farming Karma brand and share our orchard-to-can story across Canada!
