We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and motivated Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our growing team on a part-time, remote basis.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a marketing student, recent graduate, or early-career professional who wants to gain practical experience working with a Canadian marketing company and clients across different industries.

You'll work directly with the founder of HatHouse Marketing to support our own marketing initiatives and those of our clients.

The role will primarily focus on social media content creation, scheduling, coordination, engagement, and performance tracking, with opportunities to contribute to other digital marketing projects.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management & Content Creation

- Create, develop, and schedule content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Write engaging captions and social media copy tailored to different brands and audiences.




- Assist with developing creative content ideas, graphics, short-form videos, and reels.
- Edit videos and create visual content using tools such as Canva and CapCut.
- Help manage social media accounts and maintain consistent posting schedules.

Content Planning & Coordination

- Assist in creating and maintaining content calendars for multiple clients.
- Research social media trends, competitor activity, and emerging content opportunities.
- Support the execution of social media strategies and marketing campaigns.
- Organize content assets, files, and project materials.
- Coordinate content for review and approval before publishing.

Community Management & Reporting

- Monitor social media engagement, including comments, messages, and audience interactions.
- Assist with community management and responding to basic inquiries using approved brand guidelines.
- Track social media performance, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and other relevant metrics.
- Help prepare basic performance reports and identify opportunities for improvement.

General Marketing Support

- Support other marketing tasks, research, and client projects as needed.
- Contribute new ideas and recommendations during content planning.
- Assist with internal marketing initiatives to help grow HatHouse Marketing's own digital presence.

What We're Looking For

- Currently studying or recently graduated in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business, or a related field. Applicants with relevant experience are also welcome.
- Familiarity and experience with social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn.




- Experience using Canva, CapCut, or similar design and video editing tools.
- Strong English written communication skills, especially for social media captions and marketing content.
- A creative mindset with an eye for design, visual storytelling, and current social media trends.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, follow deadlines, and work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and adapt to different client brands and industries.
- Reliable internet connection.

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with Google Workspace, project management tools, or digital marketing platforms.
- A portfolio or examples of social media content you've created.
