Its platform provides engagement infrastructure for the home care workforce, helping care organizations recognize caregivers, facilitate shift management, drive rewards and run operational workflows. The product spans web, mobile, SMS, push notifications and voice agents, serving both front-line caregivers and office coordinators. Caribou was ranked #4 in technology among The Globe and Mail's Top Growing Companies in Canada.### The roleThe Senior Product Designer is the most senior designer on a small, highly team-oriented product team. You would report into and partner closely with Product, Engineering and Customer Success, shaping experiences across every channel the platform uses. The role exists to raise and maintain design quality across the product and to keep the team grounded in real user needs.### What you would do* Design end-to-end journeys for caregivers and coordinators, spanning individual features and channels, from a caregiver discovering and working a shift to a coordinator posting and filling one.* Rethink how points, recognition, challenges, personalization and other engagement loops motivate caregivers, prototyping ideas,
testing them with real users and using data to decide what to scale.* Build a regular research cadence with caregivers and coordinators through interviews, usability testing and call listening, then turn those insights into clear direction for the team.* Define what "simple enough" means in practice, review flows before they ship, and push for another iteration when something falls short.* Evolve the design system so that building consistent, high-quality experiences is faster and easier for everyone on the team.* Help redesign voice and conversational experiences and use real interaction data to iterate on them after launch.### What they are looking for* 5 or more years designing digital products, including at least one mobile consumer app and one B2B or operational product.* A track record of shipping products and then living with them: measuring outcomes, learning from users and iterating after launch.* A portfolio that shows your thinking process, the problems you tackled, the trade-offs you made and what changed post-launch, not just polished final screens.* Experience designing for non-technical users, including frontline, hourly or mixed-digital-literacy audiences.* Hands-on research skills: interviews, usability testing and synthesizing findings into product decisions.* An MVP instinct: keeping the long-term vision in mind while shipping in small, verifiable steps.* The ability to explain design rationale clearly to PMs,
engineers and leadership, and to update your thinking when evidence calls for it.* Experience building, owning or meaningfully evolving a design system that engineers actually use.* Comfort using both qualitative and quantitative data to assess whether a design is working.* Ability to operate without dedicated researchers, copywriters or specialists to hand work off to.* Nice to have: experience with conversation design, voice UX or AI-powered products; designing across French and Spanish; background in healthcare, staffing, workforce technology or complex operational environments.### Working arrangementsThe role is open to candidates based in Toronto or Montreal. The team works primarily remotely, with one day a week in-office for the Toronto team, and comes together in person for company retreats, team events and customer meetings throughout the year.### Pay and benefitsThe salary range is CAD 120,000 to CAD 160,000. Additional compensation includes stock options and healthcare perks. The company also offers summer half-days.## DetailsLocation: Toronto, CanadaOn-site or remote: HybridSalary: CAD 120,000 - CAD 160,000Sector: HealthcareRole: Product designSeniority: SeniorOrganisation: For-profit## About CaribouCaribou (legal name: Caribou Health Technologies Inc) is a Toronto-based software platform that helps home care agencies recruit, retain, and recognize caregivers through AI-powered shift booking, rewards, and engagement tools.
