About the Role Our client is seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Scientist with deep expertise in Genomics to join their cutting-edge research team in Kimberley . This role is central to driving forward our understanding of genetic variation and its impact on disease, through the design and execution of advanced genomic studies. You will work with large-scale genomic datasets, develop novel analytical approaches, and collaborate with a diverse group of scientists to uncover new insights. Key Responsibilities Design and implement next-generation sequencing (NGS) experiments and analyze genomic data.
Develop and apply computational tools and statistical methods for genomic data analysis.
Investigate genetic associations with diseases or complex traits using various genomic approaches.
Collaborate with bioinformatics teams and experimental biologists to interpret genomic findings.
Contribute to the development of new genomic technologies and applications.
Prepare detailed reports,



present findings at scientific meetings, and contribute to publications.
Requirements Ph.D. in Genomics, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related life science field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in genomics research, including hands-on experience with NGS technologies.
Proficiency in analyzing large-scale genomic datasets (e.g., WGS, WES, RNA-Seq).
Strong understanding of population genetics, statistical genetics, and bioinformatics pipelines.
Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) and relevant genomic software.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for research conducted in Kimberley.
