Reporting to the AVP of External Counsel Performance, you will evaluate external counsel's litigation strategies and execution. This senior-level position requires a strong foundation in insurance defense litigation with a focus on quality, consistency, and accountability in legal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct structured file-level reviews of litigation quality
• Develop standardized scorecards for performance evaluation
• Identify trends and risks across counsel's performance
• Support KPI development and performance metrics
• Generate reporting to inform leadership decisions
Requirements:
• LLB or JD with law society membership in Canada
• 3-5+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Robust understanding of litigation strategy and operations
• Excellent communication and drafting skills
• Motivated self-starter able to work under pressure
