Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Second-Third Year Steel Fabricator Apprentice to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers a fantastic chance to develop advanced skills in steel fabrication, welding, and assembly while working alongside experienced professionals. Duties

- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Perform MIG welding tasks to join steel components according to specifications.
- Use precision tools to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards.
- Support the assembly of steel structures following detailed instructions.
- Conduct rigging operations for lifting and positioning heavy steel parts using cranes or forklifts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work workplace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience





- Currently enrolled in or having completed the second year of a recognized steel fabricator apprenticeship program or equivalent technical training.
- Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Prior exposure to welding techniques such as MIG welding preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, or technical drawings is highly desirable.
- Construction or manufacturing experience involving steel fabrication or assembly is advantageous.
- Ability to operate machinery like plasma cutters, press brakes, cranes, forklifts, and machining tools is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety practices with an eagerness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Vaid welding ticket or experience is an asset.
