Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will play a critical role in the Engineering Department focused on Underground Operations. Your responsibilities will include generating optimized long-term mining plans for the Detour Underground Operation, collaborating with various departments to ensure seamless production activities. You'll also promote a high standard of health and safety while respecting environmental practices and workplace procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform scenario analysis for optimized mining strategies
• Develop Life of Mine mining plans with cost forecasting
• Prepare presentations to communicate LOM strategies
• Participate in mining reviews as Mine Operations representative
• Promote continuous improvement in safety and productivity
Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Mining Engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of underground mining experience
• Skilled Engineering eligibility in Ontario
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Deswik software
• Strong English communication skills
