The successful candidate will support our legal team in managing files from intake through resolution and will play an important role in ensuring files are organized, deadlines are met, and clients receive professional and responsive service.
Tort Law Clerk
Azimi Law is seeking a dedicated and experienced Tort Law Clerk to join our team in Toronto. This is a full-time, permanent, in office position for a detail-oriented professional with at least 2 years of experience working with tort or personal injury matters.
The successful candidate will support our legal team in managing files from intake through resolution and will play an important role in ensuring files are organized, deadlines are met, and clients receive professional and responsive service.
Key Responsibilities Assist with the management of tort and personal injury files from intake through resolution
Track important deadlines and maintain accurate, organized case records
Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, memoranda, mediation materials, and pre-trial documents
Draft correspondence to clients, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and other parties
Communicate with clients to gather information,



provide case updates, and address questions or concerns
Assist with document production and the organization of litigation materials
Maintain accurate electronic and physical files in accordance with firm procedures
Assist with scheduling, calendars, and other administrative tasks as required
Scan, organize, and properly store documents within the appropriate files
Perform other duties related to the position as assigned
Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of experience working with tort or personal injury matters
Completion of an accredited Law Clerk or Paralegal program
Strong understanding of personal injury and tort litigation
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple files and prioritize competing deadlines
Professional and effective interpersonal skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office
Experience with Clio is considered an asset
What We Offer Salary: $45,000–$55,000 per year , based on experience
