The City of Laval is seeking a temporary Mechanic for its Public Works Service. This evening role involves diagnosing and repairing various motorized vehicles and equipment.

As a Mechanic, you will perform essential mechanical repair work on all types of motorized vehicles and devices at G.V.E Operations. We are looking for candidates with a diploma of vocational studies in heavy vehicles or automotive mechanics, along with two years of relevant experience. You will need to demonstrate your expertise in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to excel in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose mechanical issues in vehicles and equipment
• Perform repairs on motorized devices and machines




• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
• Maintain equipment and tools in positive working condition
• Assist in general upkeep of the Public Works fleet

Requirements:
• Diploma of vocational studies in relevant mechanics
• Environmental qualification certificate, category H3
• Two years of relevant work experience
• Agility to adapt and master the craft
• Customer-oriented approach to service
