Coast Mountains School District 82 is seeking a temporary, full time Resource and Other Teacher at Nechako Elementary School in Kitimat, BC. The position is 1.00 FTE, starts immediately, and runs until June 30, 2027, or the incumbent's return, whichever comes first.

Qualifications and experience

Valid BC Ministry of Education teaching certificate, or eligibility to obtain one.

Experience teaching students at all grade levels.

Working knowledge of BC curriculum learning standards, curricular competencies, and core competencies.

Ability to work with a team to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students with academic, social, and emotional learning difficulties.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to relate well to students, parents, and staff.

Commitment to school and district goals and strategies for enhanced learning.

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Compensation and benefits
Salary is $63,513–$117,454 annually at 1.00 FTE, in accordance with the collective agreement. The posting also describes relocation allowances for eligible teachers, a recruitment and retention allowance, benefits, and insurance options.
