Curious Caterpillars - Petman is looking for a ECA and RECE Supply to join our child care team. Successful candidates must be either a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) or an Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) as it is a child care position.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Non-negotiable):

- Must be a Registered and valuable standing with College of Early Childhood Educator or an Early Childhood Assistant
- Must be willing to obtain a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check or have obtained one in the past 6 months
- Must have a valid First Aid and CPR Level C
- Up-to-date Immunizations and provide medical form
- Must have 1-2 years of experience
- Must be able to life up to 20lbs
- Must be able to work Monday to Friday between 7:30am to 6:00pm
- Food handler certificate is an asset
- Must be able to provide 3 references

:

- Facilitate and guide children's development and learning through small and large group and induvial centered activities following the approved curriculum (knowledge/ aware of How Does Learning Happen, Child Care and Early Years Act, Toronto Public Health)
- Ensure compliance with the requirements and operational standards of the Centre and all governing and licensing agencies




- Continually assess the well being of children in the program
- Guide children's behaviors in a positive manner and at a level that is appropriate to their actions and their ages in order to promote self discipline, ensure health and safety and respect the rights of others
- Ensure that all facilities, supplies and equipment are kept clean, safe and free of hazards
- Disinfect toys and equipment regularly as scheduled
- Perform other duties as assigned, including garbage removal
- Set up and put away all equipment used during the course of the program, keeping everything tidy
- Flexibility, positive, and adaptability mindset
- Initiating mindset and good communication skills is asset

Rate of Pay: $21-25/hour
