As a key member of the student services team, the Elder reports to the Dean of Students. This role is vital in providing mentorship and cultural guidance to foster understanding and respect. You will actively promote the inclusion of Indigenous perspectives in academic settings while contributing to students' personal and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a cultural and spiritual advisor to students
• Support reconciliation initiatives within the institution
• Integrate Indigenous perspectives in educational processes




• Foster respect and understanding within the student community
• Mentor students to aid academic and personal development

Requirements:
• Recognized Elder status within the Indigenous community
• Post-secondary education from a recognized institution
• Experience supporting Indigenous students
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures and contemporary issues
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
