Job Summary

Lumaris Support Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Program Associate / Behaviour Support Worker to support children, youth, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and diverse support needs.

The role involves direct participant support, behaviour support, program activities, life skills, community participation, and maintaining a safe and inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities

- Provide 1:1 and group support during programs, activities, life skills sessions, and community outings.
- Implement positive behaviour support strategies and individualized support plans.
- Support communication, social skills, emotional regulation, independence, and community participation.
- Assist with daily living activities and meaningful recreational or educational activities.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
- Communicate with participants, families, caregivers, and team members.
- Complete required documentation and report concerns appropriately.
- Participate in program planning, team meetings, training, and other duties as required.

Qualifications
- Education or experience in Human Services, Developmental Services,



Behavioural Science, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioural needs is preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, observation, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, reliable, professional, and comfortable working independently and with a team.
- Commitment to person-centred care, inclusion, safety, and independence.
- First Aid/CPR, behaviour support training, and vulnerable sector screening are assets.
- Reliable transportation or access to Guelph locations.
